Thank you for the prompt reply.

Canon UK's official parts distributor can supply me with the adapter collar.
It is about 1/5th of the cost of buying the whole dedicated tripod mount
with adapter, hence the question.

Apart from the colour, I think the mounts are identical.

Anyone know for sure?
