Hi Nick,
Not much can go wrong with a monopod and it isn't like one would be more
steady than another - within reason. I use a Bogen 'pod frequently for
trackside use with my 300/2.8 and have had no problem with it. I have the
small QR plate on it to make it quicker to attach and remove. I wouldn't
spend more than necessary on this item.
