MH> I've actually been wanting to get feedback on this. There's a British MH> company selling NiMH 2CR5 batteries + charger:

Hello Matt, I bought this last April (thank you Konstantinos!) and have to say that I can't really recommend it. Why? At the beginning all looked ok - the batteries lasted for about four rolls and with the rapid charge feature were quickly recharged. But with the time they continued to last shorter and shorter and the quick-recharge feature was impossible to use because if you used it they only held their charge for 5 frames! So I had to recharge them in slow mode (about 10 hours). The build quality of the batteries is also very bad. One of the cells lost the top part (which I repaired by using adhesive tape) the other one somehow overheated in the charger and was deformed a bit. They both are still usable and I keep on using them because they are still less expensive than the usual 2CR5 (and I already have them). If you only shoot one or two rolls a day they do their job since you can recharge them over night. If you have to depend on your batteries and don't want your camera to run out of power at a decisive moment I would not recommend using the rechargables. My usual routine now is to have both of them in my bag plus a conventional 2CR5. If they both are empty I switch to the non-rechargable. One thing I forgot: The car adapter is useful if your cigarette lighter does not switch off the power when turning off the engine (like my car does) because the charger starts to empty the batteries before charging them. If you interrupt the charge process it starts all over again. BTW, your link doesn't work properly. For all others interested use http://www.2cr5.co.uk/start_shop.html instead. -- Best regards, Dieter mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
