Hello EOS-fans,
I've been using EOS cameras for nearly ten years now. Just recently, I
bought myself an EOS RT (very nice) and an EOS 650 as a backup body. I
have one problem with the 650: the depth of field preview and 'M' mode
metering buttons don't work! Both of these buttons are located close
together underneath the lens mount, so I am wondering if the cause for
them both to stop working could be related?
I've had a repair quote of around 60 UKP - probably makes it
uneconomical to have done, so I may try to repair it myself and junk the
camera if it goes horribly wrong!
So... my question is should I bother? Does anyone know what the problem
with these buttons could be, and am I likely to be able repair it myself
if I remove the front of the camera body. Or will lots of bits and
pieces fall out which I would have no hope of reconstructing ever again?
Thanks, Robert.
