Sounds like typical marketing bla-bla to me. If Canon wants to stay in business, OF COURSE they will HAVE TO come up with a new, improved higher-MP digital SLR (to replace the "oh-so-outdated" 1d). I think it also goes to tell that as long as Moore's Law remains valild, we will continuously see new models. I welcome any and all new models - this will drive down the price for the "outdated" current models :-) Incidently, I love my D30, but also can't wait to upgrade :-) Once a digital camera has paid itself off in film savings, it is a good time to upgrade. Looking at Ebay right now, I'm not the only one who thinks so - although I wouldn't sell my D30 until the D60 is readily available (and has been consumer tested).
