Consider yourself lucky if all you had to do is to waste ink, I had a 740
before, it also produced amazing results in the beginning, but eventually
the print head nozzles started to plug up, that's when I realized that it's
difficult and pricey to replace the Epson print head, the print head is
almost 2/3 the price of a new printer before the labour to change it.
I elected to get a Canon printer instead of fixing the Epson, at least with
the Canon the print head can be changed easily and (relatively) economically
and you are back in business in short order, and not waste ink like the
Epson.
