I have chance to buy new Tokina 80-200 f./2,8 AT-X Pro for my EOS 50e. Lens
costs only 370$. I checked on web and price was about 600$.
What would you advise me. How good is the lens. Is there any test or review
of this lens on the web?
Thanks,
David

That particular lens is excellent. The Pro version has the better (improved)
anti reflective coating.
The AF is not fast but adequate. At $370 it is an absolute steal. The lens
is as well built as one can ask for, all brass and solid. If nothing else
you can surely resell it if you do not like it for at least what you are
paying for it.
While other lenses may test better wide open this lens does as well at the
mid apertures. The optical design renders subjects with a sort of
"roundness" reminiscent of the older German lenses (just my opinion) making
it probably better suited to portraits and people than scenics.
