Ray, I played with one briefly at PMA and it hunted abit but found focus under the mercury vapor lamps on the show floor. Canon is saying that it will focus (by my calculation) in two to three stops lower light than the D30, based on their EV claim. Many shooters complain that, in low light, the D30's autofocusing was non-existent. Apparently the D60 is improved in that respect. I have not seen Canon claiming faster autofocus for the D60 than the D30. My 1D is similar to my EOS 3. In all other respects, I'm sold on it. Just for yucks, I put the 1D on high speed and filled the buffer with pix. I know it only took 3 seconds, but it seemed an eternity and was amazed how many shots 21 in a row really is. My advice is to get the 1D if you plan action shots and the D60 for fashion, portraits or other more controlled shots.
