As you said they're not infallible. I have owned more cameras and lenses
over the years than I would care to remember.
Also, I have had opportunity when writing for publication to test many new
cameras and lenses that come to the market.
FWIW, and IMHO, the Photodo tests are pretty darn accurate. I may not always
agree 100% with all they say, but it does serve as a guideline. In the
meantime, if I like a lens I use it. To paraphrase an old Navy phrase, "Damn
the tests, full frame ahead!" ;-)
