I, too have decided to take the digital SLR plunge and have started to earmark this and that to be sold to help finance mydigital SLR experience. I was naively assuming that when the time came, I would just call up B&H and order one, but now I"m beginning to wonder. Someone had one on eBay a few days ago for $3199 along with the description that it would be months and months before anyone got one for "normal" price. While I know some of his statement had should be taken with a grain of salt, another side of me realized that these were likely to be very popular (at least given the sudden deluge of used D30's), does anyone here have any insight on how long it typically is before a new camera is "generally available".
