All, I was tipped off that Fry's Electronics is still selling the E-100RS so I ran over there tonight and sure enough they have it for $399. The sale ends tomorrow, after which the price goes back up to $599, so tomorrow I'll call the grant disbursement manager and see if I can front the money out of my own pocket and just get paid back with the grant money when it comes in a month. With the savings I can get a few spare sets of batteries and an extra
