I don't know about D60 (nor D30) but 2820 dpi scans (with fixed focus 1000 Euro home film scanner) from Sensia 100 slide film (EF50/1.8 at f5.6) clearly beat images from Canon G2 4MP at ISO50 (at f4) resolution wise. One of the reasons might be the G2 lens but when looked at 400% magnifications in Photoshop the amount of pixels was also a major reason. This was especially clear with small items with "RGB colors", like UK flag. Need to repeat the test some day with a dSLR. Happy fighting.
