Hi Steve, I borrowed one of these from CPS last month to see what the improvement to recycle time is. With NiMh's in the flash unit and alkalines in the CP-E2 the time for a full recharge dropped from 4 sec to just under 2 sec's. I didn't have it long enough to check the overall longevity of battery life but have ordered one for my kitbag. Others on the list seemed to be happy with their units.
