Used the 1v, its faster AF but I hated the manual selection of focusing points. It is more solid but I rarely use cameras to hammer nails in the wall. Also, if you really need 7-10+ fps its the only choice. For me, I also have no use for a 100% viewfinder since prints or "mounted" slides never show all anyway, and few people want an 8x12. Stick with the EOS3. It has the same manual point selection as the 1v.
