Hi there, triggered by a German Usenet discussion, I did a test with my EOS 30 to check whether it too has the known exposure problem with non-electronic/non-EOS lenses.
To my surprise, my EOS 30 seems to meter correctly when the electronic contacts are not connected to any lens. Here is what I did exactly: Camera set to Av, largest aperture, exposure time = X. Unlocked and unscrewed lens, display shows "00" and MF. Now I metered again and the same exposure time was shown as before. Big Surprise! BTW. my EOS 30 has a datecode of 08/09(?) 2001. Can anybody else with a late sample try this? Maybe Canon has fixed the bug? br/Stefan. http://www.behrens-home.de/photo http://www.behrens-home.de/photo/eoslimit.html * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
