Hi there,

triggered by a German Usenet discussion, I did a test
with my EOS 30 to check whether it too has the known
exposure problem with non-electronic/non-EOS lenses.

To my surprise, my EOS 30 seems to meter correctly
when the electronic contacts are not connected to 
any lens.

Here is what I did exactly:

Camera set to Av, largest aperture, exposure time = X.
Unlocked and unscrewed lens, display shows "00" and MF.
Now I metered again and the same exposure time was
shown as before.

Big Surprise!

BTW. my EOS 30 has a datecode of 08/09(?) 2001.

Can anybody else with a late sample try this?
Maybe Canon has fixed the bug?
