It has no focusing problems at all with canon. it had problem with 1 or 2 nikon bodies. this is my main lens and i agree about being built like a tank. one major plus is that it has a great manual focus ring and mechanism.
where did you hear about the 28-70 SV? any more info? i would be very interested, thanks! i take the 28-135 with me when i need that extra reach and it is daylight so i do not need 2.8. one disadvantage is that it does not snap into focus as well as the tokina with my d30/d60. evrim > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Tuesday, July 09, 2002 9:33 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: EOS Which fast standard zoom? > > > > the tonika 28-80 ATX-Pro used to have close focusing problem on > my nikon body, that's why i sold it... didn't try the one for > EOS mount > so can't tell. but other than that the ATX280 is built like a tank, > great sharpness and color for the price!
