It has no focusing problems at all with canon. it had problem with 1 or 2
nikon bodies. this is my main lens and i agree about being built like a
tank. one major plus is that it has a great manual focus ring and mechanism.


where did you hear about the 28-70 SV? any more info? i would be very
interested, thanks!

i take the 28-135 with me when i need that extra reach and it is daylight so
i do not need 2.8. one disadvantage is that it does not snap into focus as
well as the tokina with my d30/d60.
