The tripod socket on my PB-E2 is stripped out. There are a few thread left. Just enough to attach a Kirk QR plate. But I am afraid I will eventually loose them. I guess I must have cross threaded or over tightened the screw at times.
In any case I order a new socket from Canon. The problem is I can figure out how to get the old one out and the new one in. I have removed the plastic covering plate on the bottom of the PB-E2, but I dont see any other screws or attachemets. Has any one else done this. If I cant figure it out, then I'll have to send the thing to Horizon or Canon. I just hate being with out the booster. Let me know you thoughts.
