I've observed that as well.  So I'm quite wary of what's actually being
advertised for auction.  I suspect something dodgy is going on here.  I
always say, if it's too good to be true, then it isn't for real.  And
the strange locations where these cameras are being sold seems very odd
indeed.

Has anyone else been following the EOS-1D auctions on
ebay?  It seems that half of them are being offered at
unrealisticly low prices and the sellers are from
strange foreign locations.  Someone from Florida is
selling four or five of them for about $3500.  Are
they hot?  A lot of the auctions are yanked by ebay
within an hour but they keep returning.
