Testing: centre, far left & far right focusing points focused on a fixed
point on a ruler.
With my Canon 70-200 �2.8 focusing is spot on on all three points.
With my Canon 17-35 �2.8: centre spot is front-focusing, but either of the
end focus points are OK.
With my Tokina 28-80 �2.8 the centre spot is OK, but both ends are miles
out.
