To use a U.S. colloquialism, it's butt-ugly.

I was hoping for all-black; this all silver thing (excuse me, "titanium")
screams "steal me from rank amatuer photograper". You can't avoid attention
using it. Forget using it in a rough neighborhood.

LCD on back seems like good idea, but the amatuers who use and carry this
camera are the ones most likely to have the camera hanging low on the
shoulder strap... I predict many LCD panels broken from banging on
belt-buckles and hip-mounted cell phones. And the LCD bulges out from the
body... even less room to put one's nose.

I notice that the Av +/- button is now on middle of back instead of on/near
top deck. One must remove eye from viewfinder to use it now. (sigh).

A metal lens mount, as I understand. Canon has given up on competing with
Nikon and Minolta for "Lightest 35mm SLR in the world"? Gee, I won't be
able brag to my friends...

At this point in the Rebel line evolution, I was hoping for a Rebel D
(digital) under USD $1000. Hah.
