Good link. Just a note about the old 2x, I took a few pictures of the Goodyear blimp once just for the heck of it (it was just flying overhead on the way to a golf tournament or something) while I was shooting a field hockey game, and there was noticeable vignetting. I was shooting either wide open or stopped down one stop and you could really see it in the sky. Those who say there isn't vignetting either haven't really tested the extender or haven't shot anything yet that would cause it to show, but it *is* there. It just doesn't show up with most subjects, which is a good thing, I guess. This was with a non-IS 300/2.8L.
