I don't want to start a flame war ... but I would like to know the general
opinion on how you can judge the quality of a second-hand lens on an
"online" site ... I mean, I am a newbie and have some concerns on buying
some "L" serie lens (worth lots of $$$$) without having the chance to see
it
first ... I know that just observing the lens doesn't necesarily show you
all the defects ... but ... in general, what's the experience? I have
purchased my EOS-1 / 28-135mm on a brick and mortar (the price was very
very
good) and my Sigma macro lens on another shop but now I am looking at
reduced costs for a 70-200 2.8L ... Living in Holland as well, if you buy
from an internet shop in the USA, you have to pay custom taxes (high
percentage)
Thank you in advance,
/B
