FYI, I sent an email to CPS Australia's Technical Manager regarding the issue of Vaseline for rubber seals on TC's etc. He sent the following reply today. I personally doubt that Vaso would adversly affect the seals in small amounts but thought it was worth hearing what Canon had to say.
