Hi all, The recently announced 14mp Kodak DCS-14n (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0209/02092304kodakdcs14n.asp) looks to be a very desirable camera at a street price of US$4,000. Unfortunately for us EOS users it uses Nikon mount lenses and is loosely based on the Nikon F80/D100 (but with a lot of additional nice features - not just the 14mp full frame sensor).
Interestingly there is also a Q & A page (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0209/02092303kodakdcs14n_qanda.asp) on dpreview.com with the following: Q. Are there any plans to market an EOS-mount version of the DCS Pro 14n? A . Kodak currently is not publicly discussing any plans to create a CANON EOS-mount version of the DCS Pro 14n Digital Camera. The fact that it's not a flat out denial, may mean that an EF lens compatible version (DCS14c - n stands for Nikon I presume?) may be released at some time. If nothing other than the 1Ds was announced by Canon at photokina, I was considering taking the plunge for a D60. Maybe not yet though! Even if no EOS version DCS-14 is forthcoming, prices on the D60 may drop due to the recent influx of tough competition. Regards Gary This mail has passed through an insecure network.
