Without knowing the inter-nodal distance at the chosen magnification I
mean?



I've actually used the marker in the last week.
Not of course to help me take better photos, just curiosity (and
working out the geometry).
If you look at the "minimum focus distances" published by Canon they
all refer to this marker.
For macro photography of jumpy insects whay is really relavent is the
clearance (distance to the front of the lens / lens hood.
