Hi there, I had both of these flashes for a while.
They both work very well. For film cameras, I definitely recommend the Sigma Super 500. However for digital D30 and D60, I found the E-TTL to be inconsistent, and switched to the Sunpak PZ5000af. I am sure both would be fine for you, however one problem that with Sunpak is that doing fill flash outside is not very easy. The Sigma is a very good flash.
