I was hoping somenone could explain eyepiece diopters and their appropriate use to me.
I did a search on photo.net and came up with one pertinent thread but found it a bit
confusing. Here are the questions that I have:

I wear glasses and have pretty poor vision without them. In fact, I would prefer to
wear them when shooting, rather than have full correction in the eyepiece because I am
so used to them that I feel uncomfortable without them and I don't want to have to put
them on and take them off every few seconds or minutes. If my glasses are the best
vision correction I can get, should looking through the viewfinder with them on and
no special viewfinder diopter correction yield the 'best image' in terms of manual
focusing for macro shots? Sometimes my macro shots are quite sharp and sometimes seem
just off a bit...but I never know if it has to do with my vision and ability to
manually focus or with wind, subject motion etc (the camera is on a tripod with MLU).
