Hi I had one of these on my EOS50E (Elan IIE) and it kept falling off. Nearly lost it several times so I attached it to the camera strap using a short cord. Yes, it did help a bit but it really was a real PITA to keep in place. Haven't bothered with it on my EOS3 as its ECF only works when I have new, unscratched spectacles.
