when I say want more power I was refering to a higher guide number. I use a battery pack like the one al jacobs describes with my vivitar 285. One more question for you and the list, as most of my flash experience is based on the vivitar, how much improvement will I see from the TTL flashes in auto mode versus the vivitarin auto mode uder average conditions. I know the vivitar is a good flash and I don't want to spend money on a newer flash unless I can really appreciate the difference.
