I recently discovered what seems to be a significant shortcoming with the
otherwise excellent D60 + microdrive combo. I was out on a Sunday morning,
shooting away...the temperature was about 25 degrees F (about -4 C for you
metric types ;p). After about 30 minutes of shooting, the microdrive locked
up and refused to respond to read or write requests. It showed "Err 02"
after it tried to write the last picture I took; I tried turning the camera
off and on again, but it would either show "Err CF" or "Err 02" immediately.

I also tried changing batteries, popping the microdrive out and reseating
it, and using harsh language, all to no avail. I went home, and after about
an hour of warming up, the thing worked fine again.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this an inherent limitation of
microdrives in particular or the D60 in general?
