Greetings from Athens, Greece. I have an EOS 300 with a 28-105 f3.8-5.6 UC III Aspherical IF Sigma lense. I use it mostly for travel photography, shooting ONLY slide film. For my upcoming travel to Boston next April, i would like to upgrade this lense since prices in the States are 40% less than in my country. Also i haven't been very happy with that lense, it has a lot of distortion and vignetting for my taste.
I have done a lot of search in the web and the related web sites with tests. I would like your suggestions also for a lense 28-105 or 28-135, under 400$. I dunno if the Canon 28-135 IS would be ok for my EOS 300 (i have the batery pack).
