Optically, the 1.4 tc Mk II is identical to the Mk I. The Mk II 2x is an optical improvement. For both the 1.4 and 2.0, the Mk II versions have better weather proofing. I think that the Mk II s allow stacking w/o the extension ring, but I am not sure about that one.
