Hi John,

Michael might be right in his response to your query, although I only partly
understand it - my failing not his. As part of my field testing with the 1Ds
earlier this month I printed out several 12" x 18" sample prints from images
that had appeared sharp on the screen. I was disappointed with the first two
then altered my sharpening settings in PS for a third print and voila! - pin
sharp. I just did the same with a couple of other images from my tests,
without printing them, and can now see how much improved they appear at 100%
on screen with the same settings applied ( 120%, radius 1.5, threshold 3 ).
As a fairly new digital user I still don't quite understand why this is
necessary on shots taken with tripod, mlu, and remote shutter, but it will
probably come to me in time.

Regards, Tim
