> ... Anyone else care to test their Elan IIe and try and get it to happen?
Hi Jim, I am worried about the "wiggling" to check for metering accuracy. I suggest using a bright table lamp with a dimmer switch, and set up a metering target (e.g. Book) that is bright along the left side, and very dark (deep shadow) along the right side, and the transition at the centre of the frame. Mount the camera on a tripod, and select the Right-most AF sensor, CF8=1, and Av mode. It should be possible to get different meter readings when selecting between Evaluative, Partial, and Centre-weighted mode. You can also check if there is a mode switch (e.g. To Evaluative), or if NEVEC occurs by changing the brightness of your lamp. Cheers Julian Loke P.S.
