You opinion that "reverse order means inefficient quoting by default" is only an opinion, and it is not shared by many others.

Well, it is shared by me, if this makes a difference. With four-digit numbers of postings to the usenet and several mailing lists I think I am a valuable contributor. To keep the sheer number of e-mails pouring in everyday manageable, I collect many mailing lists as digests. You can't believe how fed up one gets with messages containing a dozen copies of original postings with another dozen of me-toos as introduction line.

I decided not to answer questions of top-posters
anymore.
