****************************** I see the replacement for the D60 has been launched today. After much informed rumour, the 10D has hit the markets in the US with a suggested retail price of 1999 USD which on the basis of past experience will probably translate into the same price in pounds (i.e. 1999). The more significant changes are: 1. Faster Auto-focusing with 7 AF points instead of three horizontal sensors (one of the major reasons why I sold my D60) 2 New White Balance presets 3 Faster image processing, (quoted at 3fps) 4 Additional Raw+JPEG options The image resolution remains the same and there are one or two other changes less significant to most people than those listed above. At this time, I cannot determine availability in the UK, however I notice many UK dealers are heavily discounting any remaining stocks of the D60 at present so if the above changes are not important to you, this could be a good time to get a state of the art digital SLR as the D60 was a very good camera ****************************** Regards, Bob Turner Project Engineer Merpro Limited Brent Avenue, Montrose DD10 9JA Tel: +44 (0)1674 662221 Fax: +44 (0)1674 662266 * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
