At the risk of ridicule, I'll mention that in our family there are three EOS IX bodies. The magnification factor is 1.2 relative to 35mm film, although most 35mm fanatics would have you believe is was 12, not 1.2 In any case, 1.2 was less of a problem on the wide end, and less of a benefit on the long end. In fact, it rarely came up as a notable item when the two formats were compared.
