How about getting B&H to ship the goods to the hotel where your friend is staying, this way there is no state sales tax (NY to FL) which should cover the shipping cost
B&H will only ship to a hotel/motel if payment is COD (in USA dollars by bank check or money order written by a mainland USA bank). The COD requirement is ours and is necessary to insure that the person ordering and paying for the merchandise is the actual recipient thereof. The stuff in parentheses are FedEx rules.
