I had some dealings with Ed Romney where he was selling books that he represented as new, but were in-fact photocopies. When I complained that no place in his ad was the book described as a copy, that I wanted and expected an original, but would accept a refund, the only response I got from Ed was "Tough luck, get lost." I think Ed was at the leading edge of scams. He probably didn't use eBay as a channel because of their buyer protection programs.
I guess I can't any more, but I never did business with Ed Romney again.
