My type of guy Mitch. I also use the laptop for mapping etc on trips. The point about the CD is important though and I also download, then burn to CD and verify, before deleting images from CF cards at overnight stops. I looked at the Delkin unit but found too many advantages to carrying a laptop, including better image reviewing on the road. I also agree with getting solid state cards rather than the microdrives, although I have no first hand experience with failures.
