I think the distance might be a bit of a problem Tim, but thanks for the 
offer ;-) (And I don't drink by the way, but you go right ahead).
You can see examples of my work in JPG with the 10D on my site. I 
understand fully what Jim says about some shots you'd want to have had 
in RAW to be able to do more with it. But for a report like on the art 
event last Sunday, where I shot close to 400 shots on the whole day, RAW 
would have been overkill (except maybe for shots of dark skinned people, 
where I could maybe have brought out more features in the faces).
I will give RAW (and C1LE) a new long and good look though.

There is one other thing I'm curious about, and that is Black & White. 
Is there an easy way to go from RAW to a B&W image? Or do you have make 
a (contrasty) color TIFF first and then desaturate (I have Fred 
Miranda's B&W Pro actions, they work really well).
