I'd love to have one. It's 2nd on my wish list (after a second 550ex) but so far
I've been very happy with the 28-135IS inversed on the body. "Poor man" MP-E 65,
I'd say, as it allows you to go from a 10:1 up to 5x by the turning the zoom from
tele to wide.

At the beginning I had some troubles with the adaptor (internal reflections) and
quality wasn't there if I was leaving the UV filter in place (chromatic
aberration).

I made the adaptor myself, out of a broken lens, a extension tube, some step-down
rings, some coiled cable and lots of patience (specially to solder on the tiny
pins for the camera contacts).

Novoflex [http://www.novoflex.com/english/html/macro_accessories.htm] sells the
adaptor and although much cheaper than a MP-E65, it's certainly expensive for
something that has no glass inside. You can also use this technique with wide
and ultra wide primes, with higher quality results (I guess that the 24/2.8
would make a great 6x lens!). The wider, the more magnification you will get.

regards,

Gerard.
