Just unwrapped out of box, printed a few of my 10D images with pretty
much default settings.

I'm pretty impressed with it so far, it's one big printer and takes up
1/2 my desk. Installation was pretty easy, dropping in ink tanks and
aligning print heads was easy. Windows XP installation of drivers took
less than 5 mins.

Print speed is very impressive indeed. Compared with my previous Epson
Photo printer, this thing shoots pages out! I'm yet to get some A3+
paper, but full A4 prints don't take very long. I have noted however,
the actual printing is pretty CPU intensive and multitasking other
applications like MS Outlook whilst printing causes some pauses in the
printing on my Athlon XP 1700 256MB DDR machine. I probably need more
RAM!

Print quality is very nice. I did a heap of portraits for some friends
with my 10D / 100-400L. Images were captured as large JPGs. I haven't
done any EXIF direct 10D to Printer prints yet, but images unmanipulated
by PS 7.0 look very nice. A bit of photoshop tweak - I feel the 10D
needs some USM, and very quick RBG level adjustment and I've got some
really nice prints.

Now the only next thing I should get is a monitor Spyder...!!!! I've
been using Adobe Gamma and have reasonably well matched colours from my
Hercules DVi LCD monitor.
