I plan to travel overseas next week to India from Australia. I have a Lowepro Mini Trekker bag which will has an EOS 10D and a EF 28-135mm IS and a EF 20-35mm lens. These will be my two lenses for my trip to India, which mostly is to attend a wedding and to photograph anything and everything that I can see. >From an air travel point of view, I'm hoping not to have any hassles with the camera, but I just wanted to know if there are any tips or suggestions. I won't have any other hand carry luggage on the plane except for this Lowepro backpack. I'll have some documentation in the bag to say that I own the equipment. I'm not carrying a film body, so it's all down to the flash card and the portable storage drive (x-drive II) that I'll be carrying along. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- Lawrance, Doubtful you will have any problems with the gear. There are some strange rules when it comes to tripods in India so leave your tripod home. Depending where you will go not all airports have x-ray, some rely on soldiers that pat you down, so be prepared for this in smaller airports. Take a good lens cleaning cloth as the place is dusty, and also take some Immodium AD just in case. Having been there and travel to several cities throughout India it is an interesting place to visit.
