Just a lurker here, popping in w/a question. Hubby and I are going
on a sailing adventure in Baja next month. I'm thinking about
getting a underwater casing for my EOS, I have both the Elana IIe
and a D60. Does anyone have any experience w/these housings? I'm
looking for any feedback as to whether such a housing is worth the
investment and whether or not these housings are really function.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

If this is a one-time thing and you're not going too deep, Ewa-Marine soft housings are (depending on model) good from 30 to 100 ft. The front port is manufactured of optical grade glass. The transparent housing is made of thick, two-ply PVC, a light gauge rubber material. See <http://www.rtsphoto.com/html/ewamar.html> and <http://www.ewa-marine.com/>

If this is the start of something more serious, Ikelite <http://www.ikelite.com/> makes VERY reliable stuff, as does Sea & Sea, <http://www.seaandsea.com/>.
