Other more people friendly states have lower taxes. If you buy fdrom out of state you pay no taxes. If you buy from another country you don't pay taxes either. The ship to address is what matters. The other thing to consider is other states do not have the great prices you find in NY. So where you save 2% on sales tax you pay 20% more for the item. Somehow I do not see this as savings.
