Hi Jarkko, I've heard this mentioned a few times, but I have to say that the 200 f2.8L is among my favourite lenses to use on the 10D. Even when used with 1.4x or 2x extenders, I am usually *very* happy with the results. Sharp contrasty and plenty of "snap". Just like it is when used on a film body. I guess one report doesn't make it true that it's a dog on digital - just like my one response doesn't make it *true* that it's not. [well it does for me ;) ] But for me, I find it a great lens to use regardless of whether it's wide open or stopped down. I find the results excellent. Now I also own a number of other L lenses including the fabulous 135/f2L, the 70-200 IS and 16-35L, plus a number of other non-L primes and zooms, so I've some basis for comparison. It gets a *lot* more use than my 70-200 zoom. Now, 1Ds owners may find it acts differently at the corners on full frame, but on a 1.6x crop body - bloody brilliant! There's an interesting review of the lens at: http://194.100.88.243/petteri/pont/Reviews/dc_Canon_200_mm_f2.8/a_Canon_200_mm_f2.8L.html Cheers Gary This message has passed through an insecure network.
