Hey guys
I was hoping for some practical advice
from someone who knows or really thinks he does.
I just got a 1n in the mail today and it has a BC
problem. But it's not like the typical BC problem
With this camera it occurs after I fire and retension
the shutter, but ONLY when there is no lens on the
body. To recover all I do is release the shutter and
tap it again. It is also intermittent in that
occasionally it will work fine with no lens on the
body. Other than that it behaves like an ordinary 1n.
It's treally a non issue except that like a fanatic I
like to use Leicaflex lenses which behave like no lens
on the body.
The people who sold it to me thought it was an
electronics problem but I tend toward the
electomechanical failure scenario. Electronic faults
just don't behave like this.
Anyway, I was hoping someone might be able to tell me
where the culprit switch might be located. I don't
want to tear the whole thing down and risk wrecking
something. This in is so ugly it's beautiful, an ideal
user really!
Thanks
Javier

PS: I know full well that Canon has authorized repair
centres with factory trained techs.
