I agree that all web-creators should try to fit every URL within 75
characters, but sometimes you want a descriptive file/picture-name.
(and on larger sites I guess you can only keep yourself from going
insane by having several directory-levels)

However, the URL on Henry's posting *was* on one line, although not
within 75 characters.
It is your mail-*reader* who mangles it, not Henry's mail-editor.
Search in your mail-client settings menu for an option like 'reformat
long lines' and/or 'wrap long lines' (subtle difference).

The larger problem is by sending such a long one yourself, since most
mail-editors need to be overruled in the max-line-length-setting
there too (usually 70-75)....but it can be done, as Henry's posting
shows (once you found the correct mail-reader settings that
is....;)).
(actually, my mail-editor *still* leaves Henry's URL intact in this
message, despite the 'interference' of your mail-editor (didn't
expect that though, I thought 'once mangled, stay mangled')

Oh btw, one of the founders/creators of the email-concept, Brian Reid
(yes, also listowner of the Leica Mailinglist....;)), holds the
opinion that nobody should set a line-length in the first place, it
should all be handled on the readers site, not on the editors site.
(I once very politely asked him if he knew he was sending out his
messages in that format, silly me....us lowly ones don't ask such
questions to one of the Godfathers of email....;))

(though the problem I have with this is that not every mail-reader
can distinguish between URL and normal text, and then *everything*
flows over....;((
