Hmm.

I installed those drivers (maybe I installed the WIA as well) and it worked. I am 
using win2k. I did have drivers for 10D and 300D on it as well... Did you install 
ZoomBrowser? Can you download files via zoombrowser?

Otherwise I use card-reader to download photos  - it is faster and  does not consume 
battery power. I've written a simple tool to assist me in downloading (it stores the 
images in folders with a date pattern (highly configurable). You can get it at 
http://miha.magdalenice.net/software/filedownloader.php.
